#15) HAWK TAYLOR
Robert "Hawk" Taylor joined the New York Mets when his contract was purchased from the Milwaukee Braves on December 2, 1963. Hawk appeared as a pinch hitter in more than half of his major league appearances. (He lead the American League during the 1969 season with 49 pinch hit at-bats as a member of the Kansas City Royals.) Taylor had four hits (including two home runs) in the Mets 7-3 victory over the Philadelphia Phillies on June 20, 1964. He was traded by New York to the California Angels for Don Wallace on July 24, 1967.
Hawk Taylor signed his card in the set from a mailed request to his home on October 23, 2008.
