Bill Denehy was signed by the New York Mets as an amateur free agent in 1965. He appeared in 15 games for the Mets during the 1967 season. Bill was traded with $100,000 to the Washington Senators for Gil Hodges on November 27, 1967. Denehy later returned to the Mets organization but never appeared in another big league game for them. He was traded with Dean Chance to the Detroit Tigers in exchange for Jerry Robertson on March, 1971.Bill Denehy signed his card in the set for me from an autograph request sent to his home on November 20, 2008.
