#573) DARRYL HAMILTON

Darryl Hamilton was traded by the Colorado Rockies with Chuck McElroy to the New York Mets for Rigo Beltran, Brian McRae, and minor leaguer, Thomas Johnson on July 31, 1999. He was a member of the 2000 National League Championship team. "Bone" left the Mets when he signed as a free agent with the Rockies on July 18, 2001. After some bad blood between Hamilton and manager, Bobby Valentine when he left the Mets, Darryl claims to have placed a "hex" on the team.

Darryl Hamilton is currently working for Major League Baseball. He returned this card signed from a request mailed to the MLB New York Office address on October 3, 2009.
