Willie Randolph was most recently the manager with the New York Mets, but was indeed a player for them first. He was signed as a free agent on December 20, 1991. Willie appeared in 90 games for the Mets before being granted free agency on October 30, 1992.

I saw the team play many times during the time Randolph was manager in New York. Those created many opportunities for me to see him. Every time, upon asking for an autograph, I was greeted by a surly response from Willie. That is why I enjoyed his adding "All my Best" when he signed this card from a request mailed to his home address on November 25, 2008. Making it one of the first I had signed from this set.
