John Valentin joined the New York Mets as a free agent on January 30, 2002. During his season with the Mets he appeared at all four infield positions. Before coming to New York, John had both completed an unassisted triple play (July 8, 1994) and hit for the cycle (June 6, 1996) as a member of the Boston Red Sox. His season as a Met would be his last of an 11 year major league career.John Valentin signed his card in the set for me from a request sent to the Chattanooga Lookouts team address on August 8, 2009. He is currently the manager of the team.
